"HEXACORP LTD" fraud - claim WoW music at youtube

"HEXACORP LTD" proclaims that they are rightful owners of music from World of Warcraft game, what is not true. "HEXACORP LTD" reported loads of my old WoW streams as containing their music. They report such music as:

Ethereal Essence - CraigStuartGarfinkle
Gorgrond Inspiration - CraigStuartGarfinkle
Smack the Giant - CraigStuartGarfinkle

It's pretty sad cause AFAIK Blizzard permits youtubers to show WoW gameplay without restrictions.

I opened an appeal:

I have a license or permission from the proper rights holder to use this material. This is video footage of 'World of Warcraft' videogame ( https://worldofwarcraft.com/ ) made by 'Blizzard' company ( http://eu.blizzard.com ). Blizzard's video policy gives me permission to be using their game: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/le ... olicy.html

But it didn't help; "HEXACORP LTD" still claim music in my WoW videos and they threats to block my youtube account with 'strike' (youtube policy) if I wouldn't cancel my appeal.


Anyone got an idea how to remove this "HEXACORP LTD" fraud from youtube videos?

I tried to find you online earlier today but it appears that you were busy with more important things.. I am sorry to hear that you've been having some troubles with your youtube channel.

Please use the dispute feature via the youtube video manager to resolve these issues with Youtube.. Sadly we're not able to assist with these types of issues via Customer Support.

And they closed ticket... I reopened it again and wrote:

Thanks for a reply. But I still wonder, do you own rights for music from the game? Cause as I see it:

Do you have somekind of Legal Department to get more information about it? I'm not alone, youtubers all around world (I saw 3 more complains from YT from France) get scummed by this "HEXACORP LTD" atm.

Please get somekind of statement which I'll be able to use at YT dispute. Cause I did it already and "HEXACORP LTD" refuse to cancel their claim.

I got another reply from Blizzard support:

Hey Nikolay, this is Game Master ***** here, you can just call me *****.

I can't say I've heard of Hexacorp but I'm not well versed in the music copyright issue. For that I would either contact copyright <at> blizzard.com or costodianofrecords <at> blizzard.com as those are going to be our two relavent legal departments.

Send emails to those two and hopefully you'll get something going on this! If you have anything else you need help with in the future, don't be afraid to reach out to us again. Until then, best of luck and take care out there!

So.. I wrote a letter to this two emails; hope it would help. Waiting for an answer.

Hey buddy, not sure if you speak English. But did you get this video copyright claimed? I ask because I got a Blackrock Foundry video with this music and it got claimed by "Hexacorp" I'm trying to get to the bottom of this strange issue, to see which other people have the same problem.

So it means that more and more people starting to have this issues. Please help us to bring this message to Blizzard.
